Fingletoads (Club Old Boys)

University of Auckland Fingletoads

Three fixtures confirmed for this year:

Sunday 22nd February – Chardonnays vs. Merlots at Merton Road; start time 11.30am, light lunch between innings, drinks after the game-open to any Fingletoads who must declare their preference as to whether they want to be a Merlot or a Chardonnay and then accept where they are placed. The Merlots have traditionally fancied themselves as more mature than the slightly sharper Chardonnays. At present it is anticipated that Geoff McLeod-Smith will look after the Chardonnays and Larry Sewell will oversee the Merlots. Cost for the day $30 for players and $15 for non-players-lunch provided for both players and non-players but need to be advised in advance of extras for catering purposes.

Sunday 1st March – vs. Geyserland Googlies at Smallbone Park, Rotorua;-start time 11.30am, lunch between innings and barbeque at end of game. Suggest those going might think of travelling down on the Saturday night and staying locally-some pleasant motels at good prices and even perhaps travelling back on Monday morning. Always a great trip and one of the very few away games we consider. Cost of the game $15.

Sunday 15th March – vs. University Under 18s at Merton Road;-start time 11.30am, light lunch between innings, drinks after the game. Cost for the day $20 for players and $15 for non-players-lunch provided for both players and non-players but need to be advised in advance of extras for catering purposes.
