Key dates for the lead-in to the Junior season

The first playing weekend of the season for all Junior and Youth grades, Year 0/1 thru U19, is Friday/Saturday 27/28 October.  For other key dates see our Club Calendar by following the blue Calendar button at the top of this page.

Registration for the 2017-18 season

Our registration window for all Junior Grades (except Year 0/1) has now finished.  However, there are still a few places available in teams in some grades - Click here to enquire.

AUCC Director of Coaching/Men's Premier Coach

AUCC is pleased to announce that Hayden Gardner has been appointed as our Director of Coaching/Men’s Premier and Premier Reserve coach for the 2017-18 season.

Hayden, a NZC Level 3 Coach, has over 15 years’ experience in high performance coaching and development of junior age group representatives to Premier Men’s Cricket, with both domestic and international players.

Hayden has held a similar role with the Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club over the last three seasons and has previously held coaching roles such as Auckland U19 Assistant Coach and Manager Auckland U17 Head Coach, Auckland Age Group Representative Selector &Talent ID Scout, and Manukau District High Performance coach.

Hayden has 15 years involvement in Club cricket and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of and experience with Junior and Senior cricket alike.  Hayden is looking forward to his new role, and AUCC looks forward to welcoming him to our Club.

Golden Oldies World Cricket Festival

The worlds biggest cricket festival is coming to Christchurch. April 1st to 8th 2018!

2018 will be the first time that all Golden Oldies Sports Festivals will be held in one city during the same month. Over the course of April 2018 like-minded sporting enthusiasts aged 35 years and over will congregate in Christchurch to participate in Cricket, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Rugby, Softball and Squash.

Golden Oldies cricket is open to men and women of all abilities who wish to enjoy the game in the spirit of fun friendship and fraternity.

AUCC Annual General Meeting - 2017

The Annual General Meeting of the Auckland University Cricket Club was held on Wednesday 21st June 2017. The Board of Management for the 2017-18 season was elected and the Board Members can be seen on the "Contact" link above.

Congratulations to our players who were awarded AUCC Club Trophies for the 2016-17 season

The full list of Club Trophy winners can be seen here - congratulations to all recipients.
In particular to Nick Hall and Jordan Service whose partnership of 187 for our Senior C team v. Suburbs New Lynn on 21st January was the highest recorded in the Senior club, thereby earning them the Centennial Bails.

NZ Cricket Helmet Policy

NZ Crcket has issued it's policy regarding wearing of helmets which can be seen here .  Note that this polciy will be compulsory for all cricket in New Zealand from the 2017-18 season.

There was a two-season period where members can wear either the new shirt or their current shirt - so the new shirt is now compulsory for the 2017-18 season.
