SENIOR GRADE AWARDS (all senior club players)
Laurie Schnauer Memorial Cup
AUCC Senior Player of the Year award (also known as the
“Mr Cricket Award”).
DETERMINED BY: Points are awarded for runs, wickets,
catches etc (see “Trophies, Club Points System” page for
details).
McKenzie Cup
Awarded to a senior player who in the opinion of the
senior selectors and club captain has demonstrated
outstanding club spirit during the season.
Simon Hollies Memorial Trophy
Awarded to a senior player who in the opinion of the
management committee has made an outstanding
contribution both on and off the field during the
season.
Keepers Trophy
Awarded to the wicket keeper taking the most WK
dismissals (catches and stumpings) in the senior club
during the season.
SENIOR GRADE AWARDS
Thompson Cup
Awarded to the best all rounder in the senior grades.
DETERMINED BY: Points are awarded for runs, wickets,
catches etc (see “Trophies, Club Points System” page for
details). The minimum qualifying criteria for this
award is 150 runs and 10 wickets during the season.
Morrison Cup
Awarded to player scoring the most runs during the
season in the senior grades.
Minogue Cup
Awarded to player making the highest score in an innings
in the senior grades.
King Cup
Awarded to a senior grade batsman who in the opinion of
the senior grade selectors and club captain has
demonstrated the most enterprise during the season.
Presidents Cup
Awarded to player taking most wickets during the season
in the senior grades.
Spurdle Trophy
Awarded to player with the best bowling figures in an
innings in the senior grades.
Dykes Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding senior grade fielder
during the season (excludes WK).

Points are awarded for catches and run outs (see
“Trophies, Club Points System” page for details).
SENIOR ONE-DAY GRADE AND TWENTY20 AWARDS
Bennett Cup
Awarded to the best all rounder in the senior one-day
grades.
DETERMINED BY: Points are awarded for runs, wickets,
catches etc (see “Trophies, Club Points System” page for
details). The minimum qualifying criteria for this
award is 150 runs and 10 wickets during the season.
Mark Richardson Cup
Awarded to the best all rounder in the senior twenty20
grades.
DETERMINED BY: Points are awarded for runs, wickets,
catches etc (see “Trophies, Club Points System” page for
details). The minimum qualifying criteria for this
award is 100 runs and 5 wickets during the season.
Gibbons-Eustace
Cup
Awarded to player scoring the most runs during the
season in the senior one-day and twenty20 grades.
Burton Cup
Awarded to player making the highest score in an innings
in the senior one-day and twenty20 grades.
Anderson Cup
Awarded to player taking most wickets during the season
in the senior one-day and twenty20 grades.
Warneford Trophy
Awarded to player with the best bowling figures in an
innings in the senior one-day and twenty20 grades.
Bell Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding senior one-day or
twenty20 grade fielder during the season (excludes WK).

WOMEN’S GRADE AWARDS
Eileen Badham Cup
Awarded to player scoring the most runs during the
season in the club’s premier women’s team or the club’s
most senior women’s, youth or girls’ team.
Drumm Trophy
Awarded to the player taking most wickets during the
season in the club’s premier women’s team or the club’s
most senior women’s, youth or girls’ team.
Prichard Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding fielder during the
season in the club’s premier women’s team or the club’s
most senior women’s, youth or girls’ team.
DETERMINED BY:
Points are awarded for catches, run outs and stumpings
(see “Trophies Club Points System” page for details).
Akarana Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding first year player in
hard ball cricket in either the women's, youth or junior
grades.
DETERMINED BY:
Points are awarded for runs, wickets, catches etc

JUNIOR AWARDS
J. T. Sparling Trophy
AWARDED TO: The most outstanding junior boy under the
age of 18 in the club.
DETERMINED BY: Management Committee.
Emily Drumm Salver
AWARDED TO: The most outstanding junior girl under the
age of 18 in the club.
DETERMINED BY: Management Committee
Bleier Trophy
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 2 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.
DETERMINED BY: Points are awarded for runs, wickets,

Junior Presidents Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 3 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.

Club Captains Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 4 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.

Vice Chancellors Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 5 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.

Kirk Wallace Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 6 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.

Graeme Lynch Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 7 grade, based on performances for the Club in
traditional inter-club fixtures.

Jack Burton Cup
Awarded to the Year 7 player who scored the most club
points in Saturday competition

ACA Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
Year 8/Under 14 grades, based on all performances for
the Club during the season.

Past Presidents Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
under 15 grade, based on all performances for the Club
during the season.

Awarded to the most outstanding junior player in the
under 18 grade, based on all performances for the Club

Awarded to the most outstanding junior girl (playing
soft ball – Kiwi cricket), based on all performances for

Awarded to the player taking most wickets during the
season in the junior grades.
Sponsors Cup
Awarded to the player with the best bowling figures in
an innings in the junior Year 5 – U18 grades.
EDCA Cup
Awarded to the player with the best bowling figures in
an innings in a junior EDCA game at the Auckland
District tournament or in a representative game for
Auckland.
Don Bradman Cup
Awarded to the player scoring the most runs during the
season in the junior grades.
Life Members’ Cup
Awarded to player making the highest score in an innings
in the junior grades.
Bob Laing Memorial Cup
Awarded to the players scoring the highest partnership
in an innings in the junior grades.
Rep Cup
Awarded to player making the highest score in an innings
in a junior EDCA game at the Auckland District
tournament or in a representative game for Auckland.
Professor H.S. Dettman Cup
Awarded to the wicket keeper taking most WK dismissals
(catches and stumpings) in the junior club during the
season.
Lex Forrest Bowl
Awarded to the junior grade fielder taking most catches
during the season.
R. C. Hooton Cup
Awarded to the junior grade fielder taking most run outs
during the season.
Sportsmanship Cup
Awarded to a junior grade player who in the opinion of
the most senior junior grade coach has demonstrated
outstanding club spirit during the season.
VOLUNTEER AWARDS
Patrons Shield
Awarded to a club volunteer who in the opinion of the
management committee has made an outstanding
contribution to junior cricket.
Bill Hart Trophy
AWARDED TO: The junior coach whose team wins the club’s
“best and fairest” teams competition.
DETERMINED BY: Number of team wins and points awarded by
the opposition coach following each game for
punctuality, sportsmanship and acceptance of decisions.
TRADITIONAL FIXTURES
Kohi Cup
Annual junior club fixture against the Ellerslie Cricket
Club. The fixture is played prior to Christmas and
involves a representative team selection from every
junior grade from Year 3.
Tamaki Cup
Annual junior club fixture against the Grafton Cricket
Club. The fixture is played on the second to last Sunday
of the season and involves a representative team
selection from every junior grade.
Bert Sutcliffe Memorial Cup
Annual junior club fixture against the Parnell Cricket
Club (Cornwall Cricket Club prior to the 2009-10
season). The fixture is played on the last Sunday in
February and involves a representative team selection
from the Year 2-3 junior grades (Year 2A, 2B, 3A and
3B).
Harold Bennett Trophy
Annual junior club fixture involving the Club’s Junior
1st XI against the Fingletoads. The fixture is played in
March.
The Stephen Fleming Willow
Annual junior club fixture against the Parnell Cricket
Club. The fixture is played prior to Christmas and
involves a representative team selection from Year 3 to
Year 7.
Uni Shield
Annual junior club quadrangular tournament hosted by
University and involving Cornwall, Howick-Pakuranga and
Takapuna clubs. The Uni Shield is awarded to the winning
club. The fixture is played on the first Sunday in
March.
Scholars Cup
Annual junior club quadrangular tournament hosted by
University and involving Cornwall, Howick-Pakuranga and
Takapuna clubs. The Scholars Cup is awarded to the club
finishing second. The fixture is played on the first
Sunday in March.
Campus Bowl
Annual junior club quadrangular tournament hosted by
University and involving Cornwall, Howick-Pakuranga and
Takapuna clubs. The Campus Bowl is awarded to the club
finishing third. The fixture is played on the first
Sunday in March.
Students Mug
Annual junior club quadrangular tournament hosted by
University and involving Cornwall, Howick-Pakuranga and
Takapuna clubs. The Students Mug is awarded to the club
finishing last. The fixture is played on the first
Sunday in March.
Blair Pocock Cup
Annual junior club quadrangular tournament hosted by
Howick-Pakuranga and involving University, Hamilton and
Waitakere clubs. The Blair Pollock Cup is awarded to the
club finishing first. The fixture is played on the
second to last Sunday in February.
Haughey Cup
Annual Junior girls' tournament hosted by University
against the Cornwall Cricket Club. This fixture is
played on the 3rd Sunday in February and involves a
representative team selection from U12, U14 and Premier
Youth.
Rangitoto Shield
Annual junior club six-aside tournament for boys and
girls, hosted by University for eastern bays primary
schools. The Rangitoto Shield is awarded to the school
finishing first in the boys and girls Year 7-8 divisions
(note: there are two shields).
Waitemata Cup
Annual junior club six-aside tournament for boys and
girls, hosted by University for eastern bays primary
schools. The Waitamata Cup is awarded to the school
finishing first in the boys and girls Year 5-6 divisions
(note: there are two cups).
Akarana Plate
Annual junior club six-aside tournament for boys and
girls, hosted by University for eastern bays primary
schools. The Akarana Plate is awarded to the school
finishing first in the boys and girls Year 3-4 divisions
(note: there are two plates).
